The Paradoxical Conception of God
Posted By admin on December 27, 2009
Is truth subjective? No! Because the reality of physics and mathematics could never have allowed the impetus of creation to take root. Truth manifests reality, by means of its’ objectiveness. Now, when we begin discussing metaphysical concepts we are forced to be subjective – meaning, we can never fully know truth regarding things outside our ability to experience them and question them empirically and objectively.
Reason is, thus, a vacillating schism between subjective and objective reasoning; this is because an individual cannot possibly know all that exists empirically, yet will be thrown into the midst of all that exists empirically. The individual will be forced to, in certain circumstances, rely on their ability to recollect empirical data from memory or form new propositions a posteriori.
If truth, then, is objective, solely, then it strengthens the argument for God; in spite of the proof that we can never comprehend truth completely in-and-of-itself. Recognizing the absolute existence of truth, is nearly synonymous with recognizing the existence of God. If truth were subjective, then there is no universal truth. I will try to elucidate:
Admitting truth is objective is admitting truth is infinite. Truth is eternal, because it is objective – something can only exist because it has the eternal potentiality to exist – which correlates to the eternal presence of God. For example, a prime mover is needed for anything to exist, yet an irreducible prime mover would need to be truth which is the only thing that is eternal. Otherwise, if existence had a beginning, then the true ignition of creation would have been impossible; yet, it has happened!
Even though God is within the scope of metaphysics, we are able to deduce the truth that truth originates with God – because of the previous example. So then one could argue that I have introduced a contradistinction – however, in final, let me attempt to bring these two diametrically opposed concepts into an acceptable platform:
All we need to do is realize that Truth is a paradox and a double-edged sword! Therefore, the belief in God will always come down to one simple word – faith.
